Any case will do
as long as it uses ATX PSU
and it has the correct openings at the back
usually these form is called ATX form factor.
but as usual every manufacture might differ slightly.
so just check the back of the case to make sure it matches :t

try to see if he can give the information regarding the mobo, it should be printed in the board itself, the name brand & the model # is big help.

ATX boards are most common for Durons and Athlons in Socket 462 (A) form. If the board has the connections for LPT, COM1/2, sound, USB, and PS/2 soldiered onto the board, then it is ATX. If the connectors use headers from the mainboard for those components, then its AT. ATX also has a 24-pin connector for power on the mainboard, AT has 12. AT cases and ATX cases are also very different. AT cases use power supplies that have a cable leading to a power switch attached to the case and only have an opening for the keyboard with is usually a 5 pin DIN connector. ATX of course has a panel on the back for the PS/2, LPT, etc.
Another trick is you will find AT boards with ATX power connectors (popular with later MMX / Super 7 Baby AT mobos), but you will only find these for Intel PPGA / Socket 7 CPU's.
Of course, more info on the mobo would be useful. I apologize for the terminology lesson :D
