Windows ME & a firewire card

Can someone tell me how I can fix a shutdown problem with my PC. When I hit shutdown it will "only reboot instead of shutdown". It has done this every since I put the firewire card in. If I take the firewire card out it will shutdown properly. Everything works ok in the system except that.

I'd talk to the card mfgr to see if they have updated drivers.
