I am having this problem with scandisk using win98. It says "scandisk had found invalid long file name but not able to fix it" something like that. what should I do ??

It should have listed out the name of the file. You could probably then go and rename it your self and or delete the file if its an unnecessary one.

You can also tell scandisk to NOT check for invalid flenames.

I saw your post at another forum: "Dos scandisk, during win98 reinstall."
