I had 2 of the Antec 3fan HD coolers and the volume of air was way more than I needed and they were noisey(airflow sound). Well I hadnt even had them installed for like a month but I was looking at them contemplating a baybus. Suddenly it hit me just reverse all the wires in the molex splitter. Sure enough 5mins with a wire brad to reverse everything bang 2 5v HDcoolers. I think I will do the chipset fan I have too,I really dont think 7000rpms is needed for the chipset that didnt have a fan when I got it.

Not a bad tweak considering...Tools 1/4cent/Parts-0 ... No crimping/No soldering

nice thinking thats a really good and inexpensive way of solving you problem http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif

cause when you think about it you are now running off the 5v line and ground which is all you need to do.
