Hi everybody!
I need help burning LinuxPPC onto disk. LinuxPPC is the Linux flavor that works on older Macintosh systems. The verion I am DLing only comes in this format:
linuxppc.smi.bin
How do I burn this to cd using my PC with CDRWin, Easy CD creator, Nero or CloneCD?
Thanks
Dave

Dave, try double clicking on the file and see if it is associated with one of the programs. If that doesn't work, try right clicking and open with with...one of them (make sure to uncheck the associate box). I know this will work with ISOs, EZ-CD will pick it right up.

Thanks Randy.
I tried what you suggested and it gave me an option to "Open With" but it would not work with any of my cd burning apps, so I am going to burn the file to cd as is and then open it and burn it on a Mac a work.
Thanks
Dave

Thanks guys.
I burned it using CDRWin to cd and then took it to a Mac. I had to rename the file to its original file name (linuxppc_installer.smi.bin) then StuffIt Expander took care of the Macintosh Binary compression and then the self-executable smi file created a disk image.
Thanks

Dave here's a link to VCDImager this is used to burn "bin"s: http://www.vcdhelper.com/vcdimagergui.htm
Just d/l'd a video and after rar, it's a bin file.
