Subject speaks for itself...
I feel i should be promoted because of following reasons:
1. able to assist others in a timely fashion
2. willing to take on any challenge
3. clear, concise and able to go above and beyond for the call of duty
etc...
... you get the picture
Anyone have "hannibal" on SMR, or Divx, avi??

Hey there, this should help.
Membership levels are based on post counts. A member's status is not an indicator of content quality, originality, or helpfulness. Membership status only defines the individuals that frequent the site more often than other members. The breakdown is as follows:
Member Status Post Count
Junior 1-30
Member 31-500
Senior 501-1000
Ultimate 1001+

Membership levels are based on number of posts. I think that many others would meet your criteria as well.

I have avi Hannibal---dont waste your time...
Ultimate or ? Does it really matter? If you've got something to contribute, then contribute. Lets not put labels on people based on the number of posts. It means nothing. Do we get paid? Nope. Does it mean we know more?" Nope. It just means we posted more thats all. Big Deal.

Hey M Power:
Don't worry, only 992 more posts until you reach ultimate member!!.
Hey, I was closing in on "senior Member", then I decided to change my username & had to start over.

The member status is more of an indication of ones loyalty and faithful participation at SysOpt than the measure of ones computer knowledge. The titles mean nothing in regards to the quality of the posts, but rather it gives an indication about how active the member has been. You can't buy your "status" (despite the rumors http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/wink.gif) and you can't lobby for it either, you have to earn it through participation.
Only time will tell if a member is worthy of "Ultimate" status. http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/wink.gif

I kinda feel that the # of post does have something to do with how much a person knows about this stuff ?
personaly I think I know, I know I think, I think I know a lot more now than when I only had a few post's here and on the other forums http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif

Yes, but you already have a new tittle OuT. Hey, I should have that name too since I suggested the apps and OS forum when it was just the OS or Windows forum, where is that thread?
It's been a while since I took a look at your work, just plain awesome.

I found it. DOh!
http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/Forum1/HTML/007061-2.html
Why not just change the name of the "Technical Support" forum to something such as general hardware support and change the OS discussion forum to OS and software support? It seems to me that would be more logical since many of the posts in the current general forum should be elsewhere anyhow.
I think it is time for some sleep!

Scott, it was worth a try. http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif
MMP2mmx, how will you be sending your first $200 installment?
$1,000 x 8 staff members = $8,000
$8,000 / $200 = 40 Months = ~3.3 years
Cool, you'll have your Ultimate Member status in 2004. On second thought, maybe you should just post a few more times. http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif

I find i have to disagree there a little, i do not think that the number of posts reflects the persons knowledge.
I could to every thread right now and write something like:
"Yes i agree with so and so".
"No i disagree".
"Try to restart".
Or any other vague comment, in turn i could collect about 30-40 points today.Get what i mean ?.

Hey you only got a "little" over 900 posts left MPower ;-)
What I would really like to know is how Outpatient (don't even try to force me to write it like you did with capital letters and stuff) came to be the Ultimate naming wizard?
