I got a good deal on a celeron 733/retail boxed version and I wanted to know if anybody has overclocked these ones. I know the 633s were fairly successful. What is a good motherboard with enough settings at a decent price for this? Is the BX series chipset still the king of celeron overclocking or should I save money and go with the apollo pro a from VIA? This is just going to be a second machine for me so I wanna have some fun with it. Any input appreciated.

Sorry to disappoint you but Celeron 733 cannot be overclocked very well because of his very high multiplier. You will be able to get it @75MHz FSB with stability but beyond that is a very big Q. http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/wink.gif

Stick with an Abit or Asus (P3B-F) (BX chipset), and it will overclock.
If it's a 1.5v model, bump it to 1.7v then get the FSB to 100, and you'll fly. If it's a 1.65 or 1.7v model, get it up to 1.9 or 2.0 v and you should still be fine.
Don't use the stock cooling for it though, it's time for a GOOD fan/hs (and NOT the "Orb" either, they rated second worst of the 10 most popular ones.

This is all in theory. You may be just one of the unlucky ones that won't o/c no matter what. I have Celery 700 and I had to change 4 mobos to get 1GIG!
