Although, i do have to stress what mods you make on the psu will affect your entire system. If you don't have the knowledge, or just heard it by word of mouth. I wouldnt do it!!!!! The power supply is the most important component in the system. If it doesnt supply the correct voltages throughout the system consistantly. You might as well call your system a nice big paperweight. :( I cant stress enough..... If you dont know what your doing you could possibly destroy every component in the system. Not to mention cause a fire or cause injury to yourself. Take Care & B Safe:t rockinmale:cool: paramufay 09-01-2002, 03:54 AM Originally posted by spiderman2 You do I turn up the pots I hear its easy with two screws inside power supply? go back to playstation....you are too stupid to own a computer. BipolarBill 09-01-2002, 08:55 AM Originally posted by paramufay go back to playstation....you are too stupid to own a computer. While this may be true, it's awfully blunt, doncha think? omega31 09-01-2002, 09:06 AM Perhaps this will convince you not to fool around with the psu: http://groups.google.com/groups?hl=en&lr=&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&threadm=9uxP7.6%2408.5031%40news.xtra.co.nz&rnum=1&prev=/groups%3Fhl%3Den%26lr%3D%26ie%3DUTF-8%26oe%3DUTF-8%26selm%3D9uxP7.6%252408.5031%2540news.xtra.co.nz Power supply units hold a very high charge, even when not plugged in. Imperion1 09-01-2002, 12:32 PM paramufay, comments like that are uncalled for and unneccessary. j.m@talk 09-01-2002, 01:03 PM Adjustment can be made to some tired Psu's however unless you have either the tech write up on the PSU concerned or lots of experiance I wouldn't advise this Which pot is connected to which voltage? Do you have a meter in which to measure the voltages accurately? More to the point Is it really a good idea for you to be twiddling with the mains conversion side of things if you rely on a Forum for tech support???????????? spiderman2 09-01-2002, 03:12 PM I saw a write up on how to turn up the 5v rails and the 3.3 in a antec, there is two screws to adj the out put a bit, other people have done it. You are right , yu have to be carefull or yu get a big shock like the comments I get-I am lucky to have advice, it's not a good idea at the this space in time- but I would like to see more info on this subject because this power plant is adj. This is fun, I think I will adj my cpu with a hammer.:D j.m@talk 09-01-2002, 03:23 PM Sledgehammer Mind your pinkies  spiderman2 09-01-2002, 11:43 PM I found out the antec model I have is very easy to turn the pots up. I will try it out some day but no need at the min to do this mod= I am not sure how to get the juice out of the power suppy but maybe not need to do so , i am only turning a screw slowely till the volts go up a bit.:p j.m@talk 09-01-2002, 11:49 PM For what reason do you wank the volts up a bit?:t paramufay 09-02-2002, 03:16 AM Originally posted by paramufay go back to playstation....you are too stupid to own a computer. yea u all are right that was too blunt. what I meant to say was HERE'S YOUR SIGN:p spiderman2 09-02-2002, 08:24 AM By turing the pots , you can set the volts up a bit and oc the system more and get more stable system, you guys don;t know too much-I guess the other icrontic knows more- I break my playstation with a hammer- peice of junk.:r BobPar 09-02-2002, 09:40 AM I would highly recommend not messing with the pots unless you enjoy breaking things hmmm. If its overclocking your after why not post in CPU's and Overclocking forum  j.m@talk 09-02-2002, 07:31 PM Why did I say that? SysOpt.com
