I have a Jetway .7BXAN-2 M/Board. I have the upgrade and flash
program but I cant get the thing to upgrade. I get msg. file size
does not match although both files are same size. Is there a
jumper that needs setting or am I missing something?

Please help before my PC goes out the window..............

First thing to try is make sure the file is for the exact model of motherboard that you have.
Second, all flash chips have "write enable" pins that must be jumpered for the chip to be written. Most motherboards have these soldered together, however yours might require a jumper, or if you are very unlucky, soldering the motherboard.

You better check the ROM size as stated in the download area.

As Rabbit points out there are 1mb and 2mb file size.

Check image:

I haven't run into the jumper situation though. Usually making a boot disk and putting the flash prog and bin file on it. Then run flash prog from A:\ prompt.

And make sure to backup old bios!

Thanks for your impressive reply - The BIOS Upgrade was sent to
me by jetway on request. I can only assume they sent me the
correct file but they wont reply to my request for help.

Any sugestions would be greatly appriciated befor I get to far
down this bottle of scotch LOL......

I think they must want me to buy a new board - not upgrade the
old one. All i want is 40 GB instead of 10 (sigh)

Probably right about the board. Was this Bios update supposed to give you the larger drive support?

This was posted about the flash utility:

Sorry, the image must be too big. :(
