Win98 doesn't wake up after suspend

I have bought a DELL Dimension computer, and everything was ok. Then, I installed a Voodoo 2000 3DFX board. Since then, everytime the system goes to suspend mode, there is no way to wake him up!! I have removed all energy saving features, but it doens't help.

Any idea ?

Even better solution: Don't use suspend. You should be able to disable it 2 ways: the energy saving features in your display properties, and in bios. You are bound to get decreased performance by using it. And simple laws of physics would suggest that it's more stressful to the equipment to be turned on and off like that than to be left running. I just turn off my monitor and leave my computer running at full steam 24/7.

There are some combinations of video cards and Win98 that do not like suspend if you are using a 3d screensaver, like 3d pipes. Simplist thing to try first is go with a simple screen saver and see what happens. good luck
