Accurate fps's in Q2

in the console (~button) type -
timedemo 1 <enter>
demomap demo1.dm2 <enter>
OR for most accurate results, download Crusher.dm2 (by 3fingers, not sure of a website for it) and follow instructions for installing it.
Then type in the console
timedemo 1 <enter>
demomap crusher.dm2 <enter>

If you are comparing video cards only you may want to also disable sound, as it affects the result.
use these before running the timedemo:

s_initsound 0
snd_restart

demo1.dm2 gives a good value to compare two setups, but crusher gives a great worst case benchmark. You can figure your frame rate will not drop much below what crusher gives as a total framerate during normal play.
