Should i get win2k or office XP professional for office use?

for a workplace a more efficient OS is the Win2k Pro

and for the MS Office package

WinXP Offcice Pro.

Use Windows 2000 as an OS and use Office 2000 or XP as an application. Since Office 2K and Office XP are really similar, get what's cheapest.
