problems with windows XP

1. I have a Windows Xp service pack 1 1090 (they said that is a beta service pack). when i install it , it didn't work , it said that check my product key illegal...then I restart agian my desktop appears a sentence at the down-right corner: Windows XP professional For testing purposes only. Build 2600.
How can i make this sentence disappear?
2. The next problem:
My friend computer install XP, he dont know how his desktop seperate into 2 part: on the left have bar like taskbar (on this , it have the same taskbar, he can not do any thing with it), the second part is a picture of desktop, and the icon is on it. The 1st part overlap the second part. How can he can do disappear the left part ?

The easiest way to have the message disappear is to BUY a legal copy of WinXP.

You are obviously using the illegal Corp. Edition CD Key which has been banned in the WinXP SP1 package.

Tell your friend to right-click the Taskbar and de-select "Lock Taskbar". Now have him drag it where he wants it.

A screenshot would help.

You need to go buy a copy of XP. You are going to lose your current setup. My heart bleeds for you. :rolleyes:

It never ceases to amaze me how people can manage to get hold of an illegal copy of WinXP AND a beta of SP1 and not know that SP1 will FUBAR a pirated copy of XP!

I agree, but it will give a good idea of the depth of feeling and a clearer understanding of Why M$ have done this.

The rumours have been floating around SysOpt for months, but some ppl just pop in and out when they have a problem and don't contribute anything to the community. Here is one good example of not keeping your ear to the ground.
