Alright, i have a bunch of bootlegs on tapes that i would like to record onto my computer and then burn on to cd-r. Here's my two questions:

I have a pIII 550, 128 meg ram and soundblaster pci64

a) What program would be best for recording these programs onto the computer? (Preferable free software)

b) How can i make it so that the music is uninterrupted play but still have tracks. As in I want it to be 74 minutes of constant music, but with tracks so that i can immediately skip to a song?

thanks a bundle

I can't tell you about free software... maybe Cool Edit can do it for ya...the recording part. If your really into it I say get Sound Forge 4.5 and go to town! It will monitor your recordeing for you and then get CD Architect which is a plug in for SF... it will let you map out your cd with overlapping tracks, no spaces and even index if you wish.
Hope that helps...

You could try http://www.feurio.de/

If you burn "disk at once" it will usually not put the 2 second pauses between songs, unless your software explicitly puts it in.
