GroundZero3 02-22-2001, 07:23 PM http://www.apple.com/imac/ Jason NDC 02-22-2001, 07:27 PM Uhhhhh :P That things is just simply **** ugly! I think that's the one they call LSD! "Flower Power" hehehe GroundZero3 02-22-2001, 07:30 PM LOL! Hey warthog this computer is for you http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif Jason [This message has been edited by GroundZero3 (edited 02-22-2001).] NDC 02-22-2001, 07:54 PM Warty will definetly put that new IMAC on his next X-MAS list! LOL http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/wink.gif GroundZero3 02-22-2001, 07:56 PM i want one too. It just purty and there just something about the flower printing that makes it look a hardcore gaming system LOL Jason [This message has been edited by GroundZero3 (edited 02-22-2001).] spuck 02-22-2001, 08:10 PM now all u need is a vw bettle shaped mouse!!! nunyadam 02-22-2001, 08:27 PM man i can't wait to play games on this one. Already famous for gorgeous graphics, the iMac now makes 3D games even more photorealistic with a boost to 16MB of SDRAM and the ATI RAGE 128 Ultra graphics accelerator (8MB SDRAM and ATI RAGE 128 Pro in the 400MHz iMac). thekingofpain 02-22-2001, 08:45 PM I was raised on a Mac---sorry you cant see past the exterior---(other choices are available) but look what it does? Most things that a kid, or a computer newbie has heard about and would like to do, believe me the Mac OS is very friendly if yer just learning and will make it possible to move on to WinXX or "whatever"...look at its features did ya read what it allows? I purchased a Mac never having sat before a computer years ago, I valued the Mac's ability to teach me as I went along and it was a great learning experience---I plugged it in and "simply" plowed forward (you guys were not here to answer my dopey Q's then) I think its a great product that has a niche---maybe not yours and I can only give you my experience, things have changed alot in the 6 years since I began to use a computer and Windows is WAY more friendly now, I still value Apples ability to come up with innovative products, whether you see it or not, Apple has brought alot of people into the world of computing thru great quality products with ease of use...simple GroundZero3 02-22-2001, 08:47 PM i understand where your coming from as i was raised with apples myself. its just sad that they have to make all these fugly colors and designs to sell stupid fads Jason socalgal 02-22-2001, 08:48 PM hmm... ... the one thing you won’t hear is a fan. There isn’t one. Because unlike PCs that require noisy cooling fans to avoid overheating, the iMac takes advantage of a unique design feature to cool itself quietly... ??? How is it cooled? BTW, this goes in General Tech http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/wink.gif spuck 02-22-2001, 08:55 PM either ice ,or use it out side when the wind is blowing? desmocat 02-22-2001, 08:57 PM BBLLEEECCHH! It looks like the victim of an east L.A midnight paint job at the train yards... http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif Socal, more than likely, it uses the same theory that the cube does, convection. The heated air rises and in doing so draws in cool air from the bottom. This is only a guess tho... Warthog 02-22-2001, 09:05 PM LSD - LMAO, NDC!! http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif Oh yeah...I want his on my Christmas list....in place of rifle range targets! http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/wink.gif KOP, all I have to say to you is: you go girlfriend http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/wink.gif Warthog p.s. - wart has no idea about what he is talking about [This message has been edited by Warthog (edited 02-23-2001).] Rat 02-22-2001, 09:26 PM rifle range targets? you need rifle range targets after getting one of these? rat... thekingofpain 02-22-2001, 10:10 PM Grow up Warthog, what are ya tryin to say? wyvrn 02-23-2001, 06:50 AM The cube Mac does not require a fan because it has vents in the top where the heat naturally rises and dissipates itself. Some of Macs designs are beautiful in their simplicity. But that new IMac is ****-ugly. struggles 02-23-2001, 09:35 AM http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/frown.gif jaida 02-23-2001, 10:13 AM ahhhhhhh my eyes it burns http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif GroundZero3 02-23-2001, 10:20 AM You have three iMac models to choose from: the 400MHz iMac (with CD-ROM) in Indigo, the 500MHz iMac (with CD-RW) in Indigo, Flower Power and Blue Dalmatian, and the 600MHz iMac Special Edition (with CD-RW) in Flower Power, Blue Dalmatian and Graphite. It also comes in "Black" <IMG SRC="http://www.mathworld.co.kr/X/IMAC101.jpg" border=0> Don't get me wrong! I love Macs and use them, but IMAC's are just simply a disgrace to be called a Power PC! They would be the E-machines or less among Macs! [This message has been edited by NDC (edited 02-23-2001).] Fingers 02-24-2001, 12:43 AM ROFL...Mykex Warthog, if you get one of these for Christmas, I'll buy the shells. http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/wink.gif SysOpt.com
