Mntsnow 02-23-2001, 11:30 AM Well...Without the correct software it will take a couple of steps to do it. You will of course need to copy the image file to the cd and you will need to make the cd bootable and also you will want the drive image program (so you can run the image file) and you might want the utilities such as Format, Scandisk ect also copied to the cd. Dove19983 02-23-2001, 01:32 PM ok my burning program has an option to make the cd bootable.so i jsut make a image file and make it bootable? and put the install software from drive image on it too? what if the image file is bigger than a cd? Dave_H 02-23-2001, 01:42 PM When your making the image file, on the last screen there is a button for "advanced options". If you hit that button there is a setting to split the image into chunks small enough to fit on CD's. When you burn the image onto a CD, add everything thats on your rescue floppy #2 into the root of the first CD. That will include everything you need to restore an image thru DOS. (Of course you cannot burn the disk in packet writing format, you need to do a regular burn). If you do the above, you will be able to restore the image from your CD-Rom. You can either make the CD bootable or use a Windows boot disk to start the system, then you just have to switch to the CD-Rom drive and type: pqdi <enter> Hope that helps. dave SysOpt.com
