I HAD a 633 Celeron , running a OCTEK Main board RHINO II VAP133S-MCE. I Overclocked it to 790mhz using the Motherboard Bios , Award 4.51. No freeze ups and whatever...

I now have a 800 Celeron same Mainboard and same everything else. I tried overcloaking it using the Bios again on the MAX setting and it reboots fine, monitor comes on and then as soon as it Starts windows 98 and that windows 98 logo appears,, then my machine doesnt load further, I get a error from windows telling me sothing about a VXD or VDM ,somthing like that, file that cannot load correctly.

DO u know what ia up? do u want me to give u more info?

Please help me here sombody, i want to get this working.

Reset the bios to put your Celeron back to 800 MHz and then try overclocking it again. Probably you overclocked to much before.

About the missing file, maybe you need to re-install windows. You must of deleted the file or it may be corrupted.

I used the MAX setting for overclocking in the bios itself. I would not delete windows system files.
