I have a Asus Terminator Barebone, and i'm looking about replacing the motherboard with a better one. My motherboard currently supports up to 1.2 ghz P3 so i'm looking maybe for a P4. But from my understanding the case is not AT/ATX/micro ATX, its "Tri-Optix". Does anyone know of any motherboards that will fit in this case (ASUS or Non-ASUS)? Could I use motherboards from an Asus P4 Terminator Barebone (if so where can I get one:confused: )?

Thanxs :)

Here are some links show how it looks like, I'll post more later:

TriOptix is an ASUS proprietary form-factor that is designed for:
1. Optimum Space-Saving
2. Optimum Cost-Efficiency
3. Optimum Quality

key word is proprietary.

you probably won't find any other boards that will fit in that case. if there is a p4 board, you'd have to get it from Asus. I think you're better off getting another case and an ATX board.

bingo, compare the P4 barebone specs to the Tunalatin specs:

P3: http://www.asus.com.tw/desktop/terminator/specification.htm

P4: http://usa.asus.com/desktop/termp4/specification.htm

They the same   ;) Now where can I get a Terminator P4 Barebone motherboard?

You'd have to contact an Asus dealer and see if they can order you just a board. I don't know of any place that sells just the board, since it's meant to be a barebones unit.

The another problem is that many P4 boards have an extra 12v connector on them. unless your power supply is P4 ready, you'll have to get a new power supply too.

I seriously think you should get another case and a standard ATX board. you'll be better off in the long run.
