I'm looking for a software that will allow me to input numbers so that a math equation can be written as it is on paper instead of the way a calculator displays. Needs to display calculus, trig functions. thanks.

Example:

a
-- instead of a/b
b

Hi..

Try Equation Editor.. It is something like add-on for Microsoft Word. To install (in Word 2000, I don't know how it be in Word XP)

Go for Tool Menu, pick Customize, Pick Command, under Categories pick Insert, and from C ommand, drag Equation Editor to your Word Toolbar. You will be requested for Office CD.

I hope that i did not misunderstand your question..

:)

In engineering we use MathCAD 2000. It allows you to copy and paste the text into a word document and then easilly edit it. Inputing equations are a breeze. It will also carry out the calculations and generate the graphs too. Just a thought.

It is actually INCLUDED with MS Excel, or the MS Office, is not installed by default, you have to select it.
