I want quiet and good overclocking, which should I get? :

Sibak AC-02-625B

7000rpm
44dBa
38 cfm fan

Idle: 30 Degrees Celsius
Load: 32 Degrees Celsius

Arkua 628

33dBa
23cfm

Idle: 31 Degrees Celsius
Load: 33 Degrees Celsius

Or should I get something else? Are these results right? I just want peace and quiet with very good cooling at the same time.

No, Serious, if you can use a 70mm Footprint, I'm going to recommend the he11 out of Y S techs new Magnetic Tip Fans.

No really, everyone should have one of these o.o

I swear! This thing has fricken blown my mind, and it only cost me about what, 15.00? 18.00 including a P4 heatsink?

its Doin this currently:

9275 RPM
around 30-33 db
Fun Fun Gyroscopic motion, it likes to do tricks in your hand!
probably a CFM way better then the 23 CFM one.

Really, I'm not joking. The Fan also has redundant circuits to protect itself from burning out when jammed.

they say it has a lifespan of 80,000 Hours over at YS techs website too.

Yeah, you folks are probably gonna hear about this quite a bit :P

Yeah I know you do - however, I'm pestering Thermaltake for one of their Volcano 7+ heatsinks that'll take the 70mm fans since SwiftTechs Socket 462 heatsinks don't come with the Y S tech Fan like their Socket 478 Heatsinks do.

But, if you're looking for a heatsink roundup - heres a good one:

http://www.anandtech.com/showdoc.html?i=1279

Theres several more out there and if I could find the "42 Heatsink Round up" again, I'd pass that along to you, currently trying to find it

ok, thanks for roundup. So far im going with the "golden orb". More help still really appreciated. I need a quiet and very effective cpu cooler becuase im going to be overclocking. I don't want to be able to hear it with my headphones on though :). If you could find that other roundup, im sure it would help too.

Thks for all the help :t :t

Me again :t
Any idea when the 80mm will get released? I checked the links you posted on another thread... I was hoping the vendor you bought from might have had some "unpublished" release data info.
TIA

Jmichna, I'd recommend going here (http://www.ystech.com.tw/Tmd/tmd-3.htm) and reading the TMD Fan FAQ

Says the 80x80x25mm Fans are due out at the end of this month.

SwiftTech 462 with 80mm TMD......:r :r :r

Must...get...one...

Theres also a modified 70mm version due out, that doesn't have the Metal plate covering the top of the fan, so you can see all zee leetle intreecate mechanishms eenside. :)

As for the 60x60x25mm Fans...I guess they were a little confused about where in their warehouse they'd stored the 60mm fans...

Quoted from their website:

May to June: 60x60x25mm, 80x80x25mm T.M.D. FAN will be released to the market. These two dimensions are targeted for AMD CPU cooler and case cooling.

May to June? Its August - wheres the 60mm ones? Whacky people :)

To Fluff and Moo: Couldn't ind the 42 HSF roundup, sorry about that =( =( =(
