i need ideas on which mobo to use with with a 1.8 PIV. Also, which would be a better choice...DDR or RDRam? i want to go with RDRAM because of the faster FSB. Am I making a good choice? Thanks guys!

Because running at spec that will be a 400MHz FSB, so it makes a difference as to what the best board is. BipolarBill 08-23-2002, 01:46 AM At the 1.8 level, DDR and RDRAM are about equal, but come upgrade time, you'll want RDRAM. It's a tough call - rumor has it that Intel is suring on RDRAM. Nobody does Intel chipsets like Asus. http://usa.asus.com/mb/socket478/p4t533/overview.htm http://usa.asus.com/mb/socket478/p4t533-c/overview.htm The cheaper C model is easier to configure, but memory must be installed in pairs. There are many good DDR boards too. Check the latest one out: http://usa.asus.com/mb/socket478/p4s8x/overview.htm That is one awesome board! I would look at it seriously. It's likely hard to find yet - it's new. SysOpt.com
