Hi,

I have a Duron 1.2 Ghz and was wondering if I unlock the multiplier would it lead to being more stable when it is overclocked??

My FSB is 100 Mhz and I think the Multiplier is 12. I think that the maximum Multiplier is 12 on every motherboard, is this true???

Thanks,

Alex.

Some boards go higher than 12. You can unlock the multiplier and lower it with a higher FSB. It will in fact be much more stable that way. You should see a small speed increase by setting it at 9x133. It would be running at stock speed on the OC FSB.

The best think you could do is what Plaster said, when overclocking a highe FSB is better than a Higher multipler.

So I would lower the multipler and raise the FSb to as high as you can get it.
