Hi,

I am going to buy a new motherboard and was wondering which one of these motherboards is better. The Socket-A GigaByte GA-7VRX KT333 Chipset ATA133 AC97 Audio DDR333 NEW VERSION 2.0
or
Socket-A SOLTEK SL-75DRV5 VIA KT333 Chipset ATA-133 AC97Sound DDR Memory Supported.

Has anyone had any problems with these motherboards???

Thanks,

Alex.

Why not this?

or this?

I know very little of Soltek here in the US. They do look nice though! I've heard good things about them too.

Soltek make great boards not that expensive either compared to the more "well known" manufacturers.Nice and stable and great for OCing.

They come with some good software as well,PC-cillin,VirtualDrive,Drive image and Partition magic.

All in all a very good brand that I'm sure in time will become much better known.

I have the GA-7vrxp Rev. 2, and it's an awesome board, very stable and overclocks well. Just make sure you don't get any other version but 2, because the earlier ones had voltage regulation problems. That's if that is the board you choose of course.

Another vote for Gigabyte, and I've worked with both companies.

Welcome to SysOpt, Hutch :)
