Direct X?

How can I find out which version of Directx I am using? I know its something simple but I forgot.

There are a couple of ways but using windows98.. go to the program files folder and find the directX folder, open it and then open the setup folder, then click the dxdiag icon, this should launch the utility, and you can find out from there. A shorter way would be to type dxdiag and the start, run box, and then click enter.
