That is an opnion though because 3dmark isnt a good judge in how games will run as games are completely different than 3dmark. :t DocEvi1 08-22-2002, 11:47 AM 3DMark isn't a good way to judge performance in games - just my machine gets more than yours.......(three ronnies sketch springs to mind :D) Games are completly different idea - there are times when you need a monster PC (i.e. when a lot is happening) but there are others when a 200MMX will suffice. Depending on your spec, you should be able to play all modern games, just not in such graphical splender - I played DeusX and a lot of modern games on a AMD K6 200MMX with 48Ram and a Voodoo2....worked fine if not slow in certain places. Stefan grimfandango 09-01-2002, 03:12 AM any card that gets you 4000+ in 3dmark 2001se would be good!:t Bigjakkstaffa 09-01-2002, 09:17 AM The current 3dmark is an OLD benchmark really - its nearly 2 years gone as we speak. However i agree with gib and grimmy 4000 should be your target if you intend to be playing games on said card next year. 2000 - 3000 will probably do for this years releases, but you really need more speed :( If your on a budget but need power, the geforce 3 ti200 is a good card for the money :) --Jakk:t OpK Chowdy 09-01-2002, 01:04 PM teh geforce4ti4200 is a better card for the money Bigjakkstaffa 09-01-2002, 01:33 PM ^^^^ That why ive got one :r :p ...but if your on a budget, a cheap Inno 3d gf3 will serve you well... --Jakk:t grimfandango 09-02-2002, 08:03 AM even a gf2 ti/ultra can play almost all games !! even my crapy mx 200 I can play almost all games at 800x600! :) but yea for games of 2003+ we will need real fast cards.! Bigjakkstaffa 09-02-2002, 11:17 AM What grimym says is true - a gf2 mx400 with 64mb RAM will run cureent games at 1024 x 768 at 32bit colour okay -- but for games of the future - its a big no no  --Jakk:t SysOpt.com
