I recently got rid of my MSI 6153 for an ABIT Bx133, the board works fine with games and applications, but it just won't let me print. My printer is a Canon LBP 660 and worked fined before the MB change, and still continues to function with other computers.
I changed the settings to support ECP and EPP, installed and removed the printer a number of times and the printing program continually says that it can't communicate with the printer. Funny thing is, my scanner runs off LPT1 with no problems.
I moved the printer to LPT2 which is an old ISA ECP parallel port, and still no communication. All the diagnostics say the drivers are current and there are no hardware conflicts. Does anyone know what is causing this problem?????
