My computers about 3 years old now feel i want to upgrade video card processer sound card etc, will i be able to by any of these or will i have to check to see what my motherboard can take, might be a silly question but i'm a bit new to computers Ps. how do i know what kind of motherboard i have model etc.

Go to ...start...rum....oops...run....type in MSINFO32.exe....click on run.........have a look in components.....for a less detailed idea...then we can go from there.

if you computer is more than 3 years old

is cheaper and easier to get a brand new PC than doing an upgrade.

you might probably want to keep your old HDD and modem, and maybe network card.

also keyboard and mouse, and FDD, and CDROM, and the Case + PSU, cables + wires.

as for the rest you'll need to ugprade
Mobo + CPU + RAM + Sound card + Video card
