Gigabyte GA-8ihx
2 120gig WD1200's
I've got the array defined, the bios sees the drives.
No program or operating system will see the array though...what am I missing???

What OS are you trying to install??
WinNT/2K and XP needs you to press F6 during the blue screen of setup, to allow you to install the drivers, before it can continue.
if Win98 you need to set up a FAT32 in DOS with FDISK
If Linux, you'll also need to go into the Advance screen and install the drivers first.
if OS/2, the same during install select to add unlisted drivers
if Novell Netware, the same, go to select the option to specify controller drivers.
if..... i'll wait for you to get back to us... this is point less

Curious - is this a RAID 0 or RAID 1 array?

RAID 0
I was trying to use the WesternDigital utility for preparing the drives. FDISK worked fine and I've got 98 installed now.
Thanks for the help!
