I've got 2 motherboards, 2 P4 2.26 533fsb CPUs and 4 sticks of PC1066 RDRAM...
No combination will post.
The fans spin up, the cpu heats up...no beep.

Could the power supply cause this? It's new too, a 550W Enermax.

It's not the PXU - it's more serious. Look here:

Thanks for the reply BiPolar,

When the system didn't power up the first time I removed everything but cpu and memory. It should beep at startup when it sees it has no video installed.

It doesn't.

Have you tried the steps in that other thread? The board may be grounded. Loosen the vise. If it still fails, it's either the motherboard or CPU.

Read the other thread please.

IT POSTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You were 100% right BiPolarBill!

I pulled the mobo out again and looked at the standoffs it mounts to.
There was an extra one that had no hole for a screw - one that was used on my old ASUS board.
That one was the ground.

It beeps like crazy now for having no video!!!

Very happy about that. I don't like my wifes computer...haha.
