I want it to be that everytime I login, that I am the root user. Actually, I need to know how to even login as the root user. I can't install anything without being the root user.

Thanks,
BiZkItKiD2001

P.S.- I am useing linux mandrake 8.2:t

Aren't you getting a login window? Just type "root" as the login name (enter that) then your password. Even if you automatically run a windows manager, you should still get a login window. (???)

No I am not getting a login windows. I can get to it if I log off. But then my mouse doesn't work, and I don't know how to navigate the desktop with a keyboard once I login:(

That's odd. What windows manager (KDE, etc.)?

Is there any place where I can download mouse drivers? I have a Logitech M-S69 wheel mouse.
