I just replaced my motherboard with a ecs k7s5a and my sony cd-rw crx175a1 ejects itself and closes three times during boot up and stays ejected. When I close the drive, it just ejects itself again. What do I do?

Make sure the drive ribbon is plugged in rite or try another one.

Sorry about posting on two different ones, didn't mean to confuse you. I have tried all the power connectors and ide cables, and I put it in another computer and it works fine. So it's something with my mother board I believe. Any more suggestions

Did you load updated mobo drivers and cdr software yet? If you did might have to go for a fresh install if you haven't yet or set defaults in bios first. Check HERE (http://howto.lycos.com/lycos/step/1,,139+25068+836,00.html) and HERE (http://www.cdrfaq.org/) also.
