have older packard bell PC and can't find CMOS settings, any ideas??? I think battery went down, or someone changed them?

do you mean that you can't get into the bios? did you try the normal keys like, del, esc, f1, etc?

if the battery is dead, you can still get into the bios, but the settings won't save.

I can get into the setup but can't find what the setting are supposed to be???

Use this article I wrote a few years ago as a general idea of what to set it to.

You system will be different but you can get a generic idea of the settings you need.

shut it down unplug it , take battery out, connect the + & - together on battery socket for about a minute. then put in fresh battery , plug back in, restart. that should reset the Bios to default

What is the MODEL number?!?!

try to find it, or see if you can at least read us exactely what the boot screen reads.
