My GeForce4 MX440 not compatible with 30.82driver.

YESTERDAY, i download the latest detonator 30.82 driver from nVidia site.
But when i installed and restart, i click Control Panel--> Display-->GF4MX440--->Additional Properties---> ___. The PC freeze and restart!!!

I have uninstall and reinstall the driver for 3 times, but the problem didnt solve! So, no choice, have to Roll Back to driver version 29.42, everything is OK.

Next, using 30.82, my 3dmark2001se score decrease about 50points!!!

Could it be driver issue or card problem?

it could be a problem with the card (not a big one though) but do you know who made the card??

But not all new drivers are the best, just keep using the 29.42's until the next ones come out. My view if it works "leave it"

I am using the 30.82 drivers now and have had them installed for about a week. No problems as yet. My video card is the MSI Gforce 4-440 64 meg version. This card has been installed for about a month so it's still a new one. Great so far.

it may the drivers and your com...
lot of people use it and found no problems..


the new drivers may be conflicting with some other drivers..!

that is bad..., i try not to click on the display menu and go for 3dmark2001se software to benchmark using 30.82 driver, the score decrease about 50points.:mad: :( :eek:

well then, reload the older drivers that worked better, simple as that
