Hi, i recorded a concert off my tv by using my AIW Radeon. When i used the digital vcr feature i had it record in mp2 format. Now i want to take out the audio tracks so i can burn a cd for myself. I have adobe premier and i know how to do it with that, but it doesn't recognize the mp2 format. They only application that does is the ATI File Player. Does anyone know of any software that will recognize the *.mp2 video format and convert it to a mpg or mepg format??

Thanks
Mike

Did you install the Premiere before you installed the drivers for the capture card? I had somewhat the same problem with my Marvel G400, and that was because primiere wouldn't use the codec because the codec wasn't installed before premiere.

Try reinstalling Premiere - and see if there are any programs bundled with the card for converting.

I just download a 30 day trial of VideoMach and this thing seems very capable. Will edit and convert from almost any format into any other format. Also does some cool effects. As well as audio extraction.

Give it a try. I just checked and yes it recognizes MP2 as one of the many MPG formats.
