I have plugged the PSU fan lead from the PSU into the proper terminal on my mobo but Mother board monitor does not pick up the sensor out put. I have reviewed bios setup but no reference to PSU fan speed montior. Rebooted the system and still no reporting on MBM. Loaded Asus probe however it doesn't pick it up either. Any thoughts.....

How many PINs does your PSU FAN has 4 or 3?

small three pin connections on both PSU lead and Mobo. The PSU is an Enermax with speed sensor.

I had the same problem on my old ASUS A7A266 with an Enermax 300. I was getting a reading in BIOS but I couldn't get any readings from an assortment of Windows applications, including MBM and the ASUS-supplied monitor. Check in your BIOS to see if you are getting a reading there. I never did figure out why it didn't work. I have since upgraded to a Giga-Byte 7VRXP and an Enermax 350 watt, no problems to report.

You might try a BIOS update.

A good idea but I have the most recent bios for the board. I gave in and moved the psu to my other system and MBM is showing the ps fan information. So as you said some systems simply do not have the psu fan functioning on the mobo. The system that was not working was on the Asus A7V-E. In my other system I have an Asus A7M266.

Thanks for your response.

You have checked to see if it is displaying in BIOS under hardware monitor correct?

On chking I did not see any reference to PSU fan speed under hardware monitor.
