Well I just joined your team. I'd previously completed 24 work units, but I'm not sure they'll be applied to this team. Averaging 0.47units per day, but that includes my first work unit which took 119.5 hrs. After that I started using Setihide and am now averaging about 9.8 hours per work unit.
When I retire in about a year, I'll probably buy this years technology and dedicate about 5 mobo's to distributed computing. I'm thinking of rack mounting the mobo's and try to use a shared HDD as well as a common PSU. I've got about 10,000 watts of low voltage DC supplys sitting in the corner of my basement. Have not given this project much thought yet. If anyone's got info on this, please pass it along. I've also only got 1 port left on my 4 port router.

As for your router problem, you can by splitters that can split on port it four, or into 10, or etc... You can have up to 253 computers connected to one router.:t

Well yes to Geri, as I’m using my wife’s system. My PC is accessible by my employer’s “spies” even though it’s located in my home. Not that there’s been complaints, but I just like to keep my “doings” as private as possible.
Thanks for the welcome guys.

They pay for the whole enchilada including the DSL. It’s nice not having to face a commute each morning and work when you want (within reason). There’s enough abusers, so we all pay the price.

do you know how they go about monitoring your usage?

There is no monitoring software resident on my PC that I can determine, but at each logon script files are downloaded followed by several hundred kb of info sent back. Several times a year, several mb of info is returned. It does not appear that real time monitoring is occurring, as modem activity is 0 when idle.
What they’re most interested in is users running pirated software and porn, gaming, and gambling web sites.
I do have a few freeware programs, but that seems to be ok.
