I recently added a second monitor to my ATI 7000 VE video card. I love the expanded desktop functionality, but why do games or streaming java apps run so slow on the secondary monitor? Am I doing something wrong or is this a normal with dual monitors? Is there any other obvious pitfalls I have overlooked?

That seems to be a normal thing with Dual or Triple, and soon Quadruplo displays.
Even Matrox cards, the best for this kinda stuff, has the same problem
just a couple of days ago a Matrox guy was complaining about the same thing.
Why would this problem exist? Is the video card pressured too much sending information to monitors? Just curios.

Put yourself in the video card position.
is it easier to make 1 hot dog, or is it easier to make 2 hog dogs, but with only half the ingridients of the first one??

If that was the case both monitors would run slower. Every thing runs fast on the primary and slow on the secondary.
