I have a multi boot system ( Windoze ME - Suse 7.2 - Suse 7.0 ) and the D-Link NIC (DFE-538TX) works ok running Windoze and Suse 7.2. The problem is that Suse 7.0 does not even detect the NIC !
No entries in /var/log/messages - ipconfig only shows 'lo'
All suggestions welcome - and Yes I do need to have Suse 7.0 for my application...
Thanks in Advance

OF COURSE MAN
Check this out, and get these drivers instead.
http://lhd.datapower.com/db/dispproduct.php3?DISP?2648
you were using REALTEK drivers, instead of the DLink drivers.

The kernel driver I am using appears to be the same as supplied on the D-Link driver diskette. I have version
rtl8139.c:v1.08 6/25/99 Donald Becker http://cesdis.gsfc.nasa.gov/linux/drivers/rtl8139.html
I followed the link you kindly provided, but could not find a link to a new driver. There is a link to the http://cedis address above but this nolonger exists....
Tips welcome...
