This is my first attempt at a bootable restore CD using the good info gleaned from this thread: http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=5453&highlight=CDResQ
When I formated the CD I gave a Volume name as: RestoreDisk.
Every thing is good till I click Record to start burning, I get this message:
Reservation conflict. This drive cannot be used because its already being used by Roxio DirectCD kernel.
I'm using Easy CD Creator.

I belive that DirectCD and Easy CD Creator are related. Did you format the CD-R using DirectCD or Easy CD Creator? If you used Easy CD Creator, try closing the DirectCD process. Hold CTRL+ALT+DEL and close DirectCD.

If you're using DirectCD and you are trying to use Easy CD Creator together at the same time, you will obviously have a conflict as you have formatte the CD using DirectCD and since DirectCD is a package writing software, it reserves the right to allow access to the CD to itself and some other programs.

:t Thanks, I'll make sure about the format and retry.
