Fatal Error

I get the blue screen of death , fatal error msg usually when on line via 57k and istening to mp3 in the backgroud. How do I tell what's causing this? This happens with the bios in optimized and fail safe.

Well to pinpoint the cause of the problem I think you will need to try different things.

Have you checked in your Device Manager for any device conflicts? Even if there isn't any conflicts, I would recommend moving the modem or soundcard to another PCI slot and see if that works. If moving the PCI cards to another PCI slot fails, you might also want to try reinstalling the software you use to play MP3's.....


Sometimes, it just seems faster and less painless just reinstalling the OS when solving the problem takes more than a couple days...In my personal opinion.
