I need a PS/2 (AT mobo) mouse ribbon cable

Hey guys, I am trying to build my grand neice a machine using my spare FIC VA 503+ mainboard. I did not get a PS/2 mouse ribbon cable when I bought this board...I have even had to rewire the serial connectors to match FICs pinout.

Anybody have an extra or older type PS/2 cable to connect an AT type mobo mouse header to a connector on the back of the case?..

Its just an idea but have you considered a PS2 to serial converter cable?

I have a cable that allows you to plug a serial mouse into a PS2 socket so it is posible that you may be able to find one that goes the other way.

Or maybe you could find a serial mouse or even rewire a PS2 mouse to use a serial cable.

Thanks Asonic... actually I want to disable the serial ports (com 1 & 2) and use those resources elsewhere. I have serial mice, which I will use if I do not find the cable I am looking for. From a post elsewhere...the following link may have solved my quest.

I got busy and didn't make it to the post office until today. (Friday the 16th) You should get it Monday or Tuesday. :) Leave me an eval on Heatware under NascarFool and we'll call it even. :)

Got it yesterday, N/F...and its the exact pinout for the FIC board. I certanly thank you, and will be happy to add some evals for heatware...(if I can remember how, LOL) and, I will also re emburse you for the postage...that was kinda expensive for a small, light weight box.

The shipping cost is no big deal. I almost tossed that thing in the trash last week. I pulled it off a board that the PS2 died. Had to install a serial mouse on it. I get a nice warm feeling when someone spares my leftovers from going to PC Heaven. ;)

Today, Aug.23rd, I recieved a short "Thank you" note and $5 from Bovon for the PS/2 mouse port. I didn't ask for any $$ for this part. I sent it as a kind gesture. ;) By the way, I'm glad that worked in your comp for you and thanks a bunch for the kind note and five spot. :)
