I'm looking at developing a decent home network and have been looking at the D-Link DI-704 as my prime choice as a router/printer server/firewall. Does anyone have any good/bad experiences with this product before I go out and buy it?

I've got one. I paid $30 for it with rebates. It's worked great, the only problem I've had was I broke the power input on the back at a LAN. I had to disassemble the whole thing and fab a replacement. If you get one, baby it, and don't carry it around in a backpack like I did. :t

D-Link and Linksys are great so is netgear. But if you're going to be using a dsl connection stay away from 3Com. Otherwise than that go with the 3com. but for a cheap fast and easy way, use the Linksys. to me they are the greatest for a home network to use with a dsl line.

Amen to that. I think Linksys should sponsor this site since we promote them so much. hehehe
