I have just installed Windows XP on a computer I am building. When I try to read cds that I have burned on my other computer that is running ME, I get a error message that it can't read from the cd drive. The drive reads other disks fine. I know the cds are good as I can use 2 other computers that I have (one with Win 95 and one with ME) to read the disks. Does anyone have any ideas as to how to get XP to be able to read these disks? Thanks for any help you can give me:rolleyes:

Had the same prob. (Still do, I guess.) I worked around it by using my networked machines. Share the cd drive on the W95 or ME, copy the files to the XP hard drive & re-burn them.

I know it's not a solution, but it'll help recover some things you need.
