I am looking to take advantage of Dialpad, but using my speakers and mic don't cut it. Therefore, I must use a headphone set. Since my computer is in an out of the way spot, I don't want to lay down every time I want to switch between the speakers and the headset. Therefore, does anyone know an online shop where I can order a speaker wire extender that I can route up to my desk, thus allowing me to switch the connection from where I sit? Any help is appreciated.

Here (http://www.radioshack.com/product.asp?catalog%5Fname=CTLG&category%5Fname=CTLG%5F002%5F001%5F008%5F000&product%5Fid=42%2D2462) ya' go. That was a quick search at RS's site, however other lengths should be available as well.

Good Luck,

Thanks for the link. 20 foot is a bit more than I was looking for, but if no one else chimes in, I might have to go with it.

waferdog,

I know you asked for an online supplier, but almost any place that sells headphones has extension cables. Radio Shack comes to mind. I bought a pair of speakers with a headphone jack on them and an extension cables for my mike. I got sick of switching out speaker and headphones cables everytime I wanted to use Dialpad. Works great.

Well, this isn't exactly what you asked for, but it makes things easier for talking online. Check it out here:

Phone Internet Kit (http://www.radioshack.com/product.asp?catalog%5Fname=CTLG&category%5Fname=&product%5Fid=990%2D0308)

I hope this helps. It's a bit more than just some wires and an extender, but it's probably a little more convenient.

Just thought I'd let you check it out.

You can always buy the connectors and a little wire and make them any length you need...cheaper toooooo!

Well, I talk the easy way out and went to Radio Shack to pick up what I need. It cost me a bit more than I would have spent had I put my own wires together, but it was convenient, and convenience has a price. Still, it does what I intended it to do, so I can't complain. Thanks for the suggestions. BTW - I can now make free long distance calls, so who wants to talk?
