goood day ppl.could u pls help me out on this one.my pc cant boot,it tells me hymem.sys is missing.tried running scandisk to noi avail.it is win 98se.my hdd is very small,so i couldnt copy the win98 files into it.if there was any space available i would have installed win98 on the current one.formating is out of the question.
one other thing what is this hymem.sys and what does it do.

You can find info Here (http://www.computerhope.com/issues/ch000425.htm) on what to do as long as its not bad ram which is usually the case, its a dos driver.

Yep I remember my first puter......small HD almost full had to delete some stuff off to get another program on...got to deleting files...decided I did not need that old 1992 file.....OPPs!:eek:
It was my hymem.sys file......Bummer.
