Roy 02-14-2001, 07:30 AM I think XP (for Express? Off Pirates?) is the release version of Whistler. I wonder how many MicroSlugs it took to agree on the XP marker! http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/wink.gif gyoung 02-14-2001, 08:15 AM I don't know if it is even in Beta. If it is then not many people would have it yet, because it would have just been released in beta. Personally I think they are really releasing a new product too soon. Win2k is not even 6 months old. They expect IT departments to upgrade again? A lot of IT departments put off upgrading from NT to Win2k because of the cost. I'm sure those on Win2k aren't wanting to go through the whole thing again. jad1097 02-14-2001, 01:48 PM W2K was released a year ago, Feb.17 2000 was the day it hit stores. Windows XP (BKA Whistler) is going to Beta 2 soon. Windows XP should be out in Sep. this year. Windows XP is an upgrade for all MS 32bit OS's and will do away with the 9x kernel forever. It is based on NT5 (Windows 2000). Here is a link with some screenshots and reviews. http://www.winsupersite.com/FAQ/whistler.asp [This message has been edited by jad1097 (edited 02-14-2001).] SysOpt.com
