This is probably real simple but I think I had a brain tumor for breakfast.

I just changed my default connection in IE5 but when I launch Outlook, it still uses the old number that I had.

I looked in the Outlook option and it lets me change the connection number but it still defaults to the old one.

Any help would be greatly appreciated/

Thanks,
Matt

Use this:

Tools -- accounts -- mail tab -- properties--- connection tab.

That is where you will find the setting you need to modify.

In Outlook, you go to Tools/Accounts and make sure the mail account you want to use is set as the default. It should say (default) in the description. Then click the Properties command button and then the Connection tab. At the lower part of this window is where you choose which connection to dial. Same procecure for Outlook Express.

In Outlook go to Tools/Options/Connection

You will find a tab with a button labeled 'change', click on this and you will be able to set the default connection that you would like Outlook to use.

Set the connection you want to be used as default.
