NT5INF.CAT ?

I bought a copy of 2000Pro from a friend and when I loaded it everything went smooth until it started for the first time after install then got a missing file box for:
NTFINF.CAT
I searched for the file on the web but could not locate one I could simply download. Can I just copy this from an existing 2000K that is running? Thanks.

that if i recall properly, it's part of a driver file for the 3Coms NIC cards

Sorry about that, the missing file is:
NT5INF.CAT not NTF

The file NT5INF.cat can be found under
C:\winnt\system32\catroot\{{F750E6C3-38EE-11D1-85E5-00C04FC295EE}
or
c:\winnt\ServicePackFiles\i386 if you have service packs installed on your system.

this file is not on Win2k install CD. You will have to copy from a system which has
Win2k runing.
