I just got gamespy 3d. demo

how do you use this.. I tried playing quake3,unreal tornament..But I could not.

how do you set this up and get the games running???

i found the **** thing horrible to use when i dloaded it for use with americas army. Dump it and get All Seeing eye instead :)

It's only small (few hundred k) http://www.sciencedrive.com/serverinfo/ dunno if it has AA support but it supports HL/Q3 and others.

Get All Seeing Eye, it's much better than Gamespy.

gamespy 3d is all but extinct.
Gamespy Arcade is the way to go out of the two, howeer, i wouldn't use either as they are a pain in the *** with adverts.

i can't even filter with All Seeing Eye? what am i doing wrong?

gamespy arcade is awful (and advert filled), but GS3D is great, although despite being the program that led GSI to power they don't seem to care about it beacuse GSA has adverts-a-plenty.

GS3D = gamespy 3D,
GSI = gamespy industries

serverinfo is like GS3D but much quicker (and you don't need tabs for HL mods to work and the filtering is quicker).

I just downloaded serverinfo.. You cant play gamews like quake3 , Unreal...... etc..

Like i, and others, said before - All seeing eye :)

Its remarkably fast and although not as pretty to look at as GS 3d, does its job.

Pingtool also used to be quite good, but unfortunatley its fallen by the wayside a bit nowadays :(

To filter using the all-seeing eye go into the MODIFIERS folder.

well, now it's loaded with people.

indeed. i remember buying a game called... **** i cant remember but it was about this Ninja guy, and it used the Duke Nukem engine and it had a picture of a Yin/Yang sign on the box... and it came with a 'YOU'VE NOT PLAYED ONLINE UNLESS YOU'VE W-O-N!' it was so corny i nearly burned it. :D

I remember people talking about KALI yeah... back in about 1998 :rolleyes: .

Actually - its not fair for me to comment as i have never used it, but honestly Allgamer - you are the only person who has actually mentioned it in a good four years... still im fairly happy with the ingame browsers myself, as theyre free and easy to use, plus you dont have the hastle of dloading filter updates etc etc :)

Quake3 and RTCW certainly work on it (I've used it for that), not sure about unreal.

yes, it works for every single game even demo, and "try out" versions, and simply ALL, yes
