PaintShop 5.0+ has an excellent gif annimation feature. I also have Xara from England which is also a good one. I have Ulead and I find it to be classic junk. The files are huge and take forever to load.

Listen to people who've used the software, as I've never used Ulead Gif Animator. I've used Xara, but not for its animation capabilities. I do animation with other tools, so sorry I can't help much more with gifs.

in softseek.com, microsoft has it's own FREE version of an animated gif program. I have used this and it's good for a free version. Good luck!
